The Castaic Lagoon
The Castaic Lagoon is located just to the south of the main lake. The Lagoon is home to monster largemouth bass, trout, pan fish, and carp. Boats are allowed on the Lagoon but they are only allowed to use electric powered motors. Anglers can fish on the east side of the lake twenty four hours a day, but there is no fishing permitted from the shore of the west side.
There are camping spots available at the Castaic Lagoon with great views of the water and sunsets. Call the lake to check on camping fees.
The Castaic Lagoon is also home to one of the best firework shows in Southern California. If you haven't been to the Castaic Lagoon recently, pack up a picnic lunch and come check it out.
